HGA is working as part of the Clients design team with Stride Treglown to refurbish the Cardiff University lecture theatres.

HGA provided designs for the mechanical and electrical building services installation. HGA produced tender documentation and then assisted with on site duties such as progress meetings, responses to RFI’s and inspections. The project was designed utilising Autodesks Revit software for 3D modelling purposes.

At an early stage in the design process, the Client identified issues with the lighting design in previous schemes where veiling reflections on teaching screens and high illuminance on projection screens caused difficulties for the audience. We undertook a thorough investigation of the issues and previous schemes, and with a preferred manufactured developed a bespoke luminaire to resolve the issue.
