HGA worked as part of the clients design team with Grainge Architects for the construction of a new sports centre on the college site in Taunton.
HGA provided detailed designs to RIBA stage 4 for the mechanical and electrical services which were issued to the tending M & E contractors as design intent. This approach was utilised to ensure that the tendering M & E contractors based their tenders on a defined scheme.
Due to the Multiple Use Games Area (MUGA), a lighting scheme was designed to provide the best possible lighting for the various sports and activities to be undertaken in the hall.
A natural ventilation system was provided for the main hall utilising roof mounted natural ventilation turrets and low level through wall motorised louvres with a control system that monitored CO2 and temperature for control.
